What are cannabinoids?
What are cannabinoids?
Cannabinoids are naturally occurring chemical compounds found in the Cannabis Sativa plant, which provide relief by imitating compounds naturally found in our bodies, called endocannabinoids.
Among 500 or so compounds found in the Cannabis Sativa plant, 113 are
known as phytocannabinoids (meaning plant cannabinoids).
Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and Cannabidiol (CBD) are the main
cannabinoids. The other main cannabinoids found are:
Cannabichromene (CBC)
Cannabinol (CBN)
Cannabinodiol (CBL)
There is yet to be more research is done on these cannabinoids and

What is the Endocannabinoid System?
What is the Endocannabinoid System?
The Endocannabinoid System is a system within our body found in the early 1990s when the CB1 & CB2 receptors were discovered. First, it was believed these receptors were only found in the brain and nerves. Still, scientists later discovered more of these receptors throughout our body, including our skin, immune system, fat tissue, heart, kidney, skeletal muscles, pancreas, blood vessels, liver, & gastrointestinal tract.
The endocannabinoid system’s main function is to help maintain homeostasis or a biological system that ensures our body is working at optimal performance. An example is how our body does not want to be too hot or too cold, blood sugar levels too high or too low, and so on. Activating these receptors in the body with the help of phytocannabinoids triggers your cells to help your body maintain homeostasis.
